Some children find learning to read and write in English very difficult. This session will look at practical ways to help them acquire the basic building blocks of reading - phonological knowledge and sight word recognition. The course will suggest the best ways to hear a pupil read and it will also look at using miscue analysis to monitor progress. Dee will also provide a range of useful ideas to help children improve their writing skills.
