Dr. Duquette’s practical two day session was a great success according to the anonymous evaluations we received. The participants benefited from simple planning techniques as well as tips and tricks to help manage and teach those children about whom each teacher is concerned. Dr. Duquette spoke of giftedness and talent, as well as learning disabilities and, due to the audience’s interest, ADHD. Teachers worked on planning sheets for different case studies, they discussed different strategies to work with all types of students and, during the Q&A session, both the participants and Dr. Duquette were able bring up queries. They talked about parents, principals and specific cases. Many people left with practical ideas provided by Dr. Duquette that they were able to implement the next day.
